We launched a new Android SDK at the end of March that introduced the capability for advertisers to run rich-media ads inside Android apps. Now advertisers can create the same rich-media experience across both iPhone and Android apps in our network. We’re happy to announce that Reebok is the first AdMob advertiser to extend their rich-media mobile campaign to both the Android and iPhone platforms. Their campaign launched on Friday and is running through the end of May.
Reebok is partnering with AdMob to build awareness of its ZigTech shoe. Their ads are running in top applications, including Sportstap pictured below, on both the iPhone and Android platforms. Reebok is targeting an audience of 18-30 year old men who are interested in sports, news, and music.
Reebok’s expandable canvas ads are running across both Android and iPhone apps in the AdMob network.
In addition to expandable canvas ads on smartphones, Reebok’s campaign also includes banners and text ads running across a range of mobile devices in order to maximize campaign reach. All ads link to a mobile optimized site where users can visit a product gallery, watch videos, and find a store near them to purchase the shoes.
We’ve heard strong interest from advertisers in our rich-media ads available across mobile platforms and we have more campaigns coming soon. To learn more about the ad units available on the AdMob network, please click here.
